Field 3 at Plummer Family Park was specially designed to host Challenger Baseball, a program that gives athletes with special needs the chance to experience the joy of baseball alongside supportive BUDDIES in a safe, welcoming environment. From April 11 through May 30, volunteers are needed to fill Saturday morning time slots (8:15–9:45 AM and 9:45–11:30 AM). This is a meaningful opportunity for teams to build connections, give back to the community, and make a real difference—sign up here and be sure your team can fully commit before reserving a spot. 2026 Spring registration is NOW open.
For all age groups, we will once again be offering Red, White and Blue groupings. Cost to play in regular SWIBL will be $825 and this covers insurance as well as the end of season tournament. Grouping explanations are as follow:
RED: This group should be a strong A to AA caliber team (note if you are a AAA team you should sign up for ELITE). Teams in this group typically hold a tryout every year and is comprised of kids from several different towns. The RED level is considered our highest level in regular SWIBL
WHITE: This group should be a solid A to solid AA level team. Teams in this group are typically made up of kids from the same town/neighborhood/church or school and while teams may hold a tryout every year they are really only looking to replace a few kids. This would be considered our middle level group,
BLUE: This group should be a weak A to strong A caliber team. Typically new teams or teams coming in from a town Parks and Rec league will be placed here. Team is typically made up of kids from same town/school/neighborhood or church. This would consdered our lowest group.
New this year, we will be offering a Wednesday night ELITE League for age groups 12U-14U. Games will be played at O’Fallon Sports Park or Plummer Park. This league is set up for teams who are a strong AA caliber or better. Games schedule, field costs and umpires will also be handled by the league. Essentially, teams show up play ball and go home. Teams will need to plan to play on their assigned night at their assigned time. Cost and total number of games will be determined by total number of teams as plan will be to play each team two times. Cost range is somewhere between $1,350 and $2,300. We need a minimum of 5 teams to play and we will be capping the group at 11 total teams.
KEY DATES:
- September 7, 2025: Registration opens
- November 16: league meeting at Edison's in Edwardsville. League fees are due at this meeting. Start time is 6:00pm
- January 11, 2026: Scheduling guidelines will be available and teams can begin to schedule their games
- March 9, 2026: League games may begin
- April 1, 2026: Team rosters and parent waiver forms are due
- May 1, 2026: Rosters are frozen - can only add with league permission
- June 1, 2026: Rosters are completely frozen, no additions will be allowed
- July 6-12, 2026: League Tournament: Note: weekday games will be played at Ofallon Family Sports Park and Plummer Park. Weekend games (Fri/Sat and Sun) will be played at the fields behind Caseyville Township Building in Fairview Heights.
- July 16-19, 2026: SWIBL vs SISBL Challenge held at GCS Stadium - home of the Gateway Grizzlies
